The Law of Secret Practice

There is a specific law that almost every successful person follows whether they know it or not. It’s called The Law of Secret Practice. What you practice in private, you will be rewarded for in public. It’s what you do behind closed doors that determines what you will be recognized for.

When we see someone get recognized for their outstanding achievements, we tend to marvel at their talent and skill. But we fail to acknowledge the amount of private practice that individuals invest in obtaining that skill or refining that talent.  

Whether it’s a gifted leader, athlete, entrepreneur, speaker, educator, musician, or actor. They have one thing in common. They invested countless hours practicing and perfecting their craft in private. 

What are you currently practicing in private that you will be rewarded for in public?  Your writing skills? Speaking skills? Perhaps a new skill? Or A new language? Hopefully, you are not perfecting the craft of watching TV or refining your stalking skills on social media.

What you consistently practice in private you will eventually be rewarded for in public.  The consequences of your personal practice, whether good or bad, will be noticed by others.

Don’t be fooled. You can only pretend for so long before your private personal habits become publicly visible. Make sure your private practices honor you and not shame you when they become visible to others.

Choose wisely your private practices. You have been warned.
